Bridgwater, Temporary Road Closures Due To Maintenance Works
What is happening?
SOMERSET COUNCIL PARISHES OF BRIDGWATER AND BRIDGWATER WITHOUT Temporary Closure of Westonzoyland Road and Eastern Avenue
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along:
Westonzoyland Road - from the junction with Bower Lane And Dunwear Lane Roundabout to the junction with Penzoy Avenue and Eastern Avenue - from the junction with Westonzoyland Road, northwards for a distance of 129 metres. A total distance of 971 metres.
This Order will enable Hiedelberg to carry out prep works, surface dressing and associated works on behalf of Somerset Highways.
The Order becomes effective on 7th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.
The works are expected to commence on 13th October 2025 and last until 24th October 2025;
Westonzoyland Road -17th October 2025 - 24th October 2025 (18:30 - 23:30) and Eastern Avenue - 13th October 2025 -20th October (00:00 - 23:59) then 21st October 2025 - 24th October 2025 (18:30 - 23:30) A total of 12 days.
