Suffolk, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2233 PACKARD AVENUE, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2233 Packard Avenue, Ipswich from No. 14 for 30 metres north westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Rands Circle, Rands Way, Nansen Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/09/2025 - 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1061 CALFORD GREEN AND STURMER ROAD, KEDINGTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
B1061 Calford Green, Kedington from Eagles Farmhouse to Sturmer Road
B1061 Sturmer Road, Kedington from Calford Green to Orchard House
This is to facilitate an overhead cable pole replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A143, the A1017 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/10/2025 from 9.30am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE F2824 SHOTLEY ROAD FROM NO. 36 PARKESTON ROAD TO NO. 21 SHOTLEY CLOSE, FELIXSTOWE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the F2824 Shotley Road from No. 36 Parkeston Road to No. 21 Shotley Close, Felixstowe from the junction with Shotley Close for 10 metres south eastbound to facilitate stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Parkeston Road, Shotley Close and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/09/2025 - 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3304 GRUNDISBURGH ROAD, GREAT BEALINGS
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3304 Grundisburgh Road, Great Bealings from the junction with Boot Street to the junction with Lower Road to facilitate works to a telecommunications infrastructure. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Park Road, Ipswich Road, Lower Road, the road from the C323 to the C324, Haydon Mount, Boot Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/09/2025 - 02/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C330 BUTTS ROAD, PLAYFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C330 Butts Road, Playford from 200 metres south of Playford Hall Cottages for 100 metres southbound to facilitate the replacement of a telegraph pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Butts Road, Playford Road, Station Road, The Street, Lodge Road, Boot Street, Playford Mount, Butts Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/09/2025 - 25/09/2025 from 9am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 006, BADINGHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 006, Badingham at the bridge for safety reasons due to a severely damaged bridge. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
There will be no alternative route.
This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 04/09/2025.
It is intended that the closure will operate until 03/03/2026 or longer if extended by the Minister.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1083 FORD HILL, SHOTTISHAM
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1083 Ford Hill, Shottisham from the junction with The Street to Woodhall Manor to facilitate parapet repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be B1083 Woodbridge Road, Hollesley Road, Alderton Road, Fox Hill, The Street, Woodbridge Road, Heath Road, Sutton Road, Woodbridge Road, Airfield Road, The Walks, the B1083, the B1083 Main Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/10/2025 from 8am to 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
