Temporary Closure of New Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along New Road - from 360 metres east of the junction with Main Road, eastwards for a total distance of 211 metres.

This Order will enable Barr Engineering Services Ltd to carry out pole replacement on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 7th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 14th October 2025 and last until 15th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 2 days.
