Medway, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
KINGSTON CRESCENT, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas main replacement works to be carried out
Kingston Crescent, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from its junction with Lordswood Lane to the frontage of 20 Kingston Crescent. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via via Lordswood Lane in both directions.
This order will come into force on 6 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works were due to commence under a notice on Monday, 29 September 2025 and are programmed for completion within 33 days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

JAMES ROAD, CUXTON (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway patching works to be carried out
James Road, Cuxton - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Bush Road to the junction with Hayley Close. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Charles Drive and Bush Road in both directions.
This order will come into force on Friday, 10 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 10 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

GLOBE LANE, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic Installation of kerbline modifications, crossing point works, signing and road marking worksincluding resurfacing the carriageway and new crossing point surfacing.
Globe Lane, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic on the eastern side adjacent to The Paddock. An alternative route will be available via Best Street, Union Street and The Brook in both directions. This order will come into force on 27 September 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works were due to commence by Notice on Monday, 22 September 2025 and are programmed for completion within 42 days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

GLOBE LANE, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO.2) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable kerbline modifications, crossing works, signing, road marking and resurfacing works to be carried out
Globe Lane, Waterfront Way and Medway Street, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic as follows
The entire length of Globe Lane; Waterfront Way between Medway Street and the roundabout adjacent to St Johns Car Park (both non inclusive); and Medway Street from its junction with Waterfront Way for 20 metres westwards.
These will be night works taking place between 8pm and 5.30am each night from Monday, 27 October to Sunday, 2 November. An alternative route will be available via Best Street, Union Street and The Brook or Manor Road, New Road, Union Street and The Brook.
This order will come into force on Monday, 27 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

BUTTWAY LANE, CLIFFE WOODS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out
Buttway Lane, Cliffe Woods - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with West Street for approx. 75 metres in an easterly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via West Street, Higham Road, Church Street and Buttway Lane.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 15 October 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 15 October 2025 and are programmed for completion within 2 days.
The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
