ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(THORPE LANE, UPTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 291) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has
made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame
& cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Thorpe Lane, Upton for approximately 50 metres.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions
the closed length of Thorpe Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Thorpe Lane, Pontefract Road, Wrangbrook Lane,
Hemsworth A1 Link Road, Back Lane, New Lane, High Street, Field Lane,
Beaconfield Road, Thorpe Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th September 2025, or until
completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained
whenever possible.
(FERRYBRIDGE ROAD, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 295) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has
made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace manhole frame
& cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ferrybridge Road, Knottingley for approximately
50 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at
their junctions the closed length of Ferrybridge Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Ferrybridge Road, Pontefract Road, Old Great
North Road, Fishergate, Pontefract Road, Knottingley Road, Bondgate,
South Baileygate, Tanners Row, North Baileygate, Mill Dam Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st October 2025, or until
completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained
whenever possible.
(MONKHILL LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 301) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend
to make an Order on traffic management grounds for detailed bridge
inspection and maintenance works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Monkhill Lane, Pontefract from Ferrybridge Road
to Monkhill Avenue. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any
roads at their junctions the closed length of Monkhill Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Spital Hardwick Lane, Holywell Lane, Park Road,
Jubilee Way, Southgate, North Baileygate & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 14th October 2025 at 22.00
hours to 15th October 2025 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works,
whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained
whenever possible.
(STATION LANE, FEATHERSTONE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 305) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend
to make an Order on traffic management grounds for rail corrosion
inspections and any repairs to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Station Lane, Featherstone, 20 metres either side of
the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads
at their junctions the closed length of Station Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Station Lane, A645, B6133, Green Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th October 2025 from 00.01
hours to 08.50 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained
whenever possible.
(RACCA GREEN, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 307) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend
to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains
replacement to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Racca Green, Knottingley from Lamb Inn Road to
Cow Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their
junctions the closed length of Racca Green.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Marsh End, Fernley Green Road, Weeland Road,
Lamb Inn Road & vice versa.
Pedestrian access maintained at all times, residents access will be
maintained when safe to do so.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th October 2025 to
7th November 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained
whenever possible.
