What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C209 PEASENHALL ROAD AND HALSEWORTH ROAD, WALPOLE AND SIBTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C209 Peasenhall Road, Walpole and the C209 Halesworth Road, Sibton from Peasenhall Road, Walpole to Dunwich Lane, Sibton to facilitate carriageway patching prior to surface dressing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Dunwich Lane, Sibton, Dunwich Lane, Heveningham Long Lane, Heveningham, the B1117 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 26/09/2025 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1125 RECKFORD ROAD, WESTLETON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1125 Reckford Road, Westleton from 130 metres south of the junction with Mill Street for 45 metres southbound to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1122, the A12 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 30/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C406 STATION ROAD, HAUGHLEY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C406 Station Road, Haughley from the railway track for 20 metres west and 20 metres westbound to facilitate level crossing testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Station Road, Old Newton, the B1113, Westhorpe Road, Finningham, Finningham Road, Westhorpe Road, Wyverstone, Church Hill, Wyverstone Road, The Street, Rectory Road, Bacton Green, Haughley Green, Green Road, Old Street, Station Road, Haughley and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 21/09/2025 from 12.01am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1061 SCHOOL ROAD, GREAT WRATTING

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1061 School Road, Great Wratting from Coronation Cottages to the entrance to the water treatment works to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1052, the A1307, the A1017, the B1061 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 21/09/2025 from 6am - 6pm but, if necessary,

the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1115 THE STREET, LITTLE WALDINGFIELD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1115 The Street, Little Waldingfield from the B1071 to Croft Lea to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1115, the A1141, the A1071, the A134, the B1115 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 26/09/2025 from 7pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3201 CONSTABLE ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3201 Constable Road, Ipswich from the junction with Clapgate junction with Gainsborough Road for 40 metres northbound to facilitate

gas works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Clapgate Lane, Landseer Road, Felixstowe Road, Derby Road, Gainsborough Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 25/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4602 BLACKSMITHS LANE, EARL STONHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4602 Blacksmiths Lane, Earl Stonham from 15 metres north of Whybrows Close for 55 metres northbound to facilitate the installation of electrical cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1120, Saxham Street, Debenham Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C448 IPSWICH ROAD, GOSBECK

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C448 Ipswich Road, Gosbeck from Greenway Cottage for 30 metres northbound to facilitate water pipe repair works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Helmingham Road, Gosbeck Road, the B1077, the A1120, The Green, Ipswich Way, Debenham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 23/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4333 LONDON ROAD AND THE A1214 ROAD FROM COPDOCK MILL INTERCHANGE

TO LONDON ROAD, SPROUGHTON AND PINEWOOD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• U4333 London Road, Sproughton from Long Meadow to the A1214 road from Copdock Mill Interchange to London Road

• A1214 road from Copdock Mill Interchange to London Road, Pinewood from Copdock Mill Interchange to London Road to the road from the A134 Newton to the A1214, Ipswich.

This is to facilitate road marking refreshment. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1214, the A14, the A1189 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 8pm on 22/09/2025 - 5am on 23/09/2025, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2405 MOAT ROAD, THETFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2405 Moat Road, Thetford from Croxton Road to Hilary Road and the U8122 Toby Road from Brandon to facilitate ducting

works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1122, Pretty Road, Hawthorn Drive and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 17/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2412 BRIDGE STREET, KELSALE CUM CARLTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2412 Bridge Street, Kelsale Cum Carlton from the junction with the B1121 to Low Road to facilitate a new water connection.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Low Road, the B1121 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 25/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3809 CASTLE HILL, U3808 HIGH STREET AND DAPHNE ROAD, ORFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U3809 Castle Hill, Orford from the junction with Broad Street to the junction with Market Hill

  2. U3808 High Street, Orford from the junction with Church Street to the junction with Rectory Road

  3. U3808 Daphne Road, Orford from the junction with Church Street to the junction with Burnt Lane,

    This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion routes will be:

  4. Broad Street, Church Street, Market Hill and vice versa

  5. Burnt Lane, Broad Street, Church Street, Front Street, Rectory Road and vice versa

  6. Church Street, Front Street, Rectory Road and vice versa.

    It is intended that the closures will operate from:

    • 22/09/2025 - 30/09/2025

    • 01/10/2025 - 09/10/2025

    • 10/10/2025 - 23/10/2025.

    If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE B1077 WESTERFIELD ROAD AND ROSE HILL, WESTERFIELD AND WITNESHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the:

• B1077 Westerfield Road, Westerfield

• B1077 Rose Hill, Witnesham from the junction with Cockfield Hall Lane, Westerfield for 675 metres northbound.

This is for safety reasons due to poor visibility in conjunction with the Wind Farm Project.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 01/05/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3628 Brook Street, Woodbridge from no. 44 to no. 30 to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Quay Side, Hamblin Road, Brook Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1068 Upper Street, Higham from the junction with Bures Road to Lambs Lane to facilitate telecommunications works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1068, the B1508, the A134 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 23/09/2025 but, if necessary,

the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1112 STATION ROAD, LAKENHEATH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1112 Station Road, Lakenheath from the junction with Wangford Road to the junction with Cows Drive to facilitate road resurfacing and recycling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1112, the A134, the A1065, the B1112 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/09/2025 - 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4410 VALLEY ROAD, LITTLE BLAKENHAM AND NETTLESTEAD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4410 Valley Road, Little Blakenham from Nettlestead Road to Leather Bottle Hill and the U4410 Valley Road,

Nettlestead from Nettlestead Road for 200 metres westbound to facilitate the installation of fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Valley Road, Hall Lane, Main Road, Somersham Road, Leather Bottle Hill and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 01/10/2025 - 14/10/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATH 3, REDGRAVE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 3, Redgrave at the bridge for safety reasons due to an unsafe bridge. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 02/09/2025

It is intended that the closure will operate until 01/03/2026 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF BRIDLEWAY 20, BRANDON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Bridleway 20, Brandon from safety reasons at the bridge. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 02/09/2025 It is intended that the closure will operate until 01/03/2026 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
