What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTIONS 90A - F

Notice is hereby given that Westmorland and Furness Council propose to install raised tables to control speed the locations and as specified in the Schedule below.

Plans showing the locations of the proposed raised tables may be viewed on the Council’s website using the following link:

If you wish to object to, or make representations regarding the proposals, you should write to the Chief Legal Officer, Westmorland and Furness, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal, LA9 4DQ, or email TrafficTeam.Barrow@cumbria.gov.uk quoting reference AR90 no later than 10th of October 2025.

SCHEDULE

Westmorland and Furness Council propose to install single raised tables at the locations and as specified in the Schedule below.

Bath Street, Barrow-in-Furness:

It is proposed to install a single raised table on Bath Street junction at a point approximately 1.20m southeast of its junction with Abbey Road.

The raised platform will be constructed with tarmacadam and the dimensions will be as follows:

Height 50mm; Width 7.3m; Length 5.0m

Park Avenue, Barrow-in-Furness:

It is proposed to install a single raised table on Bath Street junction at a point approximately 1.20m southeast of its junction with Abbey Road.

The raised platform will be constructed with tarmacadam and the dimensions will be as follows:

Height 50mm; Width 9.10m; Length 5.4m

West View Road, Barrow-in-Furness:

It is proposed to install a single raised table on Bath Street junction at a point approximately 1.20m southeast of its junction with Abbey Road.

The raised platform will be constructed with tarmacadam and the dimensions will be as follows:

Height 50mm; Width 7.70m; Length 6.1m

Stafford Street, Barrow-in-Furness:

It is proposed to install a single raised table on Bath Street junction at a point approximately 1.20m southeast of its junction with Abbey Road.

The raised platform will be constructed with tarmacadam and the dimensions will be as follows:

Height 50mm; Width 7.70m; Length 5.3m
