Criffel Street, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Highway Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (B5302 CRIFFEL STREET, SILLOTH) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the B5302, Criffel Street, Silloth, from its junction with Eden Street, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 300m to its junction with Petteril Street.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be
signed and available via the B5302 Petteril Street, U2250 Solway Street and Eden Street.

The Order will come into operation on 6 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 4 weeks, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
