What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 20.57/37/1, Richmond, Order 2025 No 323

We have made this Order to prohibit any pedestrian from using the Public Footpath 20.57/34/1 in the parish of Richmond, between grid reference NZ17050064 & NZ17040071 for a temporary period of 6 months (subject to access to premises) between 22/09/25 & 21/03/26, due to works to replace the handrail. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Elphin Bridge Lane, Hudswithate, Order 2025, No. 345

We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Elphin Bridge Lane, Hudswithate for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 06/10/25 & 17/10/25, due to drainage works. However, the max duration of this Order is until 24/10/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. 20 Mph & 30mph Speed Limits, Various Roads, Hunton, Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 20 mph on any length of road in Hunton specified in table 1 below & prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any length of road in Hunton specified in table 2 below:-

Table 1 – Various Roads, Hunton – Church Bank/South View/Leyburn Road, from a point 14 metres north-east of its junction with Jack Lane in a south westerly direction to a point 20 metres west of its junction with Wild Hill Lane.

Bedale Road, from its junction with Leyburn Road, in a south-easterly direction for 364 metres.

Greenacres, for its entire length.

Ratten Row, for its entire length.

Wild Hill Lane, from its junction with Leyburn Road, southwards to a point 300 metres south of its junction with Greenacres.

Wyllie Close, for its entire length.

Table 2 – Various Road, Hunton – Hunton Road, from its junction with Leyburn Road in a westerly direction for 41 metres.

Leyburn Road, from a point 122 metres east of its junction with Sherwood Close in a westerly direction for 334 metres.

A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Parish Notice Board in Hunton during normal office hours from 19/09/25 until 10/10/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map
