What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

STAPLETON LANE, KIRKBY MALLORY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 15/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow BT Openreach & their contractors to undertake installation of a new pole.

The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 14/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow BT Openreach & their contractors to undertake installation of a new pole.

The proposed diversion route will be via: Wharf Ln, Main St, Stapleton Ln, Hinckley Rd, Church Ln, Ashby Rd, Bosworth Rd, The Park, Rectory Ln, Market Pl, Shenton Ln, Dadlington Rd, Market Bosworth Rd, Fenn Lns & vice versa.

EXTENSION NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by the Leicestershire County Council on 20/03/2025 and which came into effect on 31/03/2025 will be continued in force until 30/09/2026, or until the works have been completed. The effect of the Order is to continue to allow for the closure of that length of footpath as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. The footpath is being closed for public safety to allow Stronghold Homes Ltd & their contractors to continue undertaking the demolition of a building & associated development works.
