What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

GREAT DALBY ROAD, KIRBY BELLARS

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 20/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 5 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 3 days to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out service apparatus installations. The proposed diversion route will be via: Great Dalby Rd, Kirby Bellars; Kirby Ln, Eye Kettleby; Kirby Ln, Dalby Rd B6047, Melton Mowbray; Crown Hill B6047, Main St, Top End, Kirby Rd, Great Dalby & vice versa.

KINGS ROAD, MELTON MOWBRAY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 20/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 4 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 4 days to allow MJ Quinn on behalf of BT to undertake service apparatus repairs.

Kings Rd, Melton Mowbray on both sides of the road from the boundary to property No. 129 up to the Salisbury Ave Jct.

WEST AVENUE, MELTON MOWBRAY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 20/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 15 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 15 days to allow National Grid to undertake local supply re-enforcement works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Sysonby St, Staveley Rd, West Ave & vice versa.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 20/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 3 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow BT Openreach to undertake service apparatus repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Somerby Rd, Burrough on the Hill; Burrough Rd, High St, Town End, Owston Rd, Somerby; Long Ln, Whatborough Rd, Owston; Oakham Rd, Melton Rd B6047, Tilton on the Hill; Thimble Hall Rd, Burrough Rd, Twyford; Twyford Rd, Main St, Burrough on the Hill & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days to allow Cadent Gas to undertake a new service connection. There is no diversion route at this location.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 7 days to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out sewer pipe repair works in the carriageway. The proposed diversion route will be via Church St.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 days to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out carriageway & verge defect repair works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Somerby Rd, Cold Overton; Oakham Rd, Knossington Rd, Somerby Rd, The Carriageway, Cold Overton Rd & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow BT Openreach to undertake overhead cabling & pole works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

The proposed diversion route will be via: A607, B676 & vice versa.

The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 1 day to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake ironwork defect repairs in the highway. The proposed diversion route will be via: Rectory Ln, Station Rd, Grantham Rd, Market St & vice versa.

The Order will come into force on 03/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway resurfacing repair works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

Barkestone Ln, Plungar; Plungar Ln, Barkestone Le Vale; Harby Ln, Stathern – for their entire lengths. Valebrook Rd, City Rd, for 100m approx. from the Harby Ln Jct; Main St from the Harby Ln boundary to the start of the boundary to property No. 7 – Stathern. Harby Ln, Plungar from the access into Windy Ridge Farm up to the boundary for Barkestone Ln.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING & LOADING AT ANY TIME

Harby Ln on both sides from property No. 16 up to the Barkestone Ln boundary, Barkestone Ln on both sides for its entire length – Plungar. Plungar Ln, Barkestone Le Vale on both sides from the village speed limit signs due East up to the Chapel St Jct.

VARIOUS ROADS, MELTON DISTRICT

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 01/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 6 months to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway micro-asphalt treatment. There is no alternative diversion route for these locations.

MAIN ROAD, BRENTINGBY

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

The Order will come into force on 29/09/2025 and have a maximum duration of 12 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 12 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highway drainage repairs. The proposed diversion route will be via: Main Rd, Brentingby; Main Rd, From B676 Saxby Rd To Main St, Wyfordby; B676 & vice versa.
