NORTH ELMHAM – U1013 Abbey Road from its junction with C882 Holt Road for 206m south eastwards to facilitate gas main pipework repair works from 21st to 26th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: C882 Holt Road, C828 Weybourne Road, C828 Dereham Road, A1082 Holway Road, U1058 Norfolk Road. The works promoter is Cadent.
SPROWSTON – 1) C250 Wroxham Road (southbound lane only) from its junction with Salhouse Road to its junction with Greenborough Road and 2) C283/120 Salhouse Road at its junction with Woodside Road and 3) C283/110 Salhouse Road at its junction with Woodside Road to facilitate gas mains replacement works. The road 1) will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrians and cycles) and Road 2) will be temporarily restricted from turning left onto Woodside Road and Road 3) will be temporarily restricted from turning right into Woodside Road with whilst signs indicating closure/restrictions are in place from 2nd September to 1st October 2025 (may continue until 30th April 2026). Alternative route is via: Salhouse Road, A1042 Heartsease Lane, Plumstead Road East, Woodside Road (Sprowston, Thorpe St. Andrew). The works promoter is Cadent. NB: Please note these works will be carried out in sections with junction & lane signs indicating the closure are in place.
TUNSTEAD – U19170 Crowgate Street from 175m southwards of its junction with C397 Church Road for 40m south westwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on 22nd September 2025 (may continue until 3rd November 2025). Alternative route is via: Crowgate Street, Church Road, Blue Lane, Crowgate Street (Ashmanhaugh, Tunstead). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
WOOD DALLING – C228 Heydon Road from its junction with C229 Cawston Lane South for 300m eastwards to facilitate works to remove bellmouth entrance from 22nd to 28th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Heydon Road, B1149 Holt/Norwich Road, Wood Dalling Road, Horseshoe Lane, Wood Dalling Road, Corpusty Road, Crow Hill, Briston Road, Heydon Road (Salle, Corpusty and Saxthorpe, Heydon, Wood Dalling). The works promoter is Orsted Hornsea Project Three (UK) Limited.

BEETLEY AND GRESSENHALL – C223 Gressenhall Road from 85m south of its junction with B1146 Fakenham Road for 40m southwards to facilitate new HV installation works from 24th September to 2nd October 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: B1146 Fakenham Road, C222 Dereham Road, C221 Old Bridge Road and vice versa (Gressenhall, Beetley). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.
BLO’ NORTON – Middle Road from its junction with The Banks for 640m north westwards to facilitate cable remedial lines works between 09:30 and 16:30 on 25th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: U33163 Thelnetham Road, U33167 Fen Road/The Banks. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.
BURSTON AND SHIMPLING – C341 Audley End from 10m either side of the level crossing to facilitate track maintenance works between 23:30 on 20th September and 07:30 on 21st September 2025 (may continue until 2nd November 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Marlingford Road, Colton Road, Norwich Road (Marlingford and Colton, Honingham). The works promoter is Network Rail Infrastructure.
COSTESSEY – U78237 Jermingham Road from its junction with U78268 Gurney Road for 530m westwards to facilitate footway scheme works from 2nd September 2025 to 9th February 2026 (may continue until 21st March 2027). Alternative route is via: Jermingham Road, Breckland Road, Grove Avenue, Gurney Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
DEREHAM – 1) C496 Norwich Street from 25m east of its junction with C540 High Street for 40m eastwards and 2) C496 Norwich Street from 65m east of its junction with C540 High Street for 110m eastwards to facilitate resurfacing footway works. Road 1) will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrians access) and Road 2) shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (except for cyclists) to allow traffic in both an easterly and westerly direction from 22nd to 23rd September 2025 (may continue until 4th November 2025). Alternative route is via: C540 High Street/Market Place, C551 Wellington Road, C584 Cowper Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
DISS – U76273 Sawmills Road from its junction with U76273 Sandy Lane for 70m northwards to facilitate footway repair works from 24th to 25th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Mission Road, A1066 Victoria Road, Sawmills Road, Nelson Road, Ensign Way. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
FLORDON – C180 The Street from its junction with U78032 Long Lane for 30m north westwards to facilitate frame and cover works between 09:30 and 15:00 from 23rd to 25th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Norwich Road, Holly Lane, Low Tharston, Bungay Road, Ipswich Road, Old Street, Flordon Road, Station Road (Flordon, Tasburgh, Saxlingham Nethergate, Long Stratton, Tharston and Hapton, Newton Flotman). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
FOULDEN & DIDLINGTON – Coldharbour Lane from its junction with Cockley Cley Road for 1500m eastwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 22nd to 26th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: C112 Cockley Cley Road/Foulden Road, A1065 Swaffham Road/Brandon Road (Ickburgh, Didlington). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
GARBOLDISHAM – The Ling from 720m north of its junction with Harling Lane for 50m north eastwards to facilitate fire hydrant repair works from 22nd to 24th September 2025 (may continue until 5th November 2025). Alternative route is via: C152 Harling Road, C124 Riddlesworth Road, B1111 Manor Road/The Street, A1066 Diss Road/Thetford Road (Kenninghall, Garboldisham, North Lopham, Harlng, Thelnetham). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
GARVESTONE, REYMERSTON AND THUXTON – U35014 Mattishall Road from its junction with U32156 Tanners Green for 40m northwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 22nd to 26th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: U35014 Mattishall Road, U35020 Wood Lane, U35013 Brakefield Green-Stone Road, C200 Wood Lane, B1135 Wymondham Road, U35014 Long Lane and vice versa (Garvestone, Reymerston and Thuxton, Thuxton and Hingham, Reymerston and Thuxton, Yaxham). MARLINGFORD AND COLTON – U78181 Marlingford Road from its junction with U78062 Church Lane for 20m southwards to facilitate frame and cover repairs from 23rd to 25th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Marlingford Road, Colton Road, Norwich Road (Marlingford and Colton, Honingham). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
MATTISHALL & BRANDON PARVA, COSTON, RUNHALL AND WELBOURNE – 1) U87141 Welborne Common from its junction with C198 Heath Road for 455m southwards and 2) U87170 Common Road from its junction with U87141 Welborne Common for 230m eastwards to facilitate pole replacement works from 24th to 25th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: 1) C198 Heath Road, U35015 Windmill Lane, U78015 Flood Lane and vice versa 2) U87170 Common Road, U78182 Horse Shoe Road, U78012 Church Road, U35012 Welborne Road, C198 South Green and vice versa. NECTON – C117 Tuns Road from its junction with A47 for 60m southwards to facilitate frame and cover replacement works from 23rd to 24th September 2025 (may continue until 5th November 2025). Alternative route is via: C117 Tuns Road/Hale Road/Necton Road/School Road, C116 Station Road/Swaffham Road/North Pickenham Road, C562 Norwich Road, A47 and vice versa (Necton, North Pickenham, Sporle with Palgrave, Swaffham). NEWTON FLOTMAN – U78128 Greenways for 10m either side of the level crossing to facilitate track maintenance works between 23:30 on 20th September and 07:30 on 21st September 2025 (may continue until 2nd November 2025). Alternative route is via: Greenways, Church Road, Ipswich Road, Flordon Road, Station Road (Flordon, Newton Flotman). The works promoter is Network Rail Infrastructure.
REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON – C571 Redenhall Road from its junction with C363 Station Road for 50m south westwards between 20:00 on 22nd September and 06:00 on 23rd September 2025 (may continue until 4th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Anti Clockwise – Broad Street, Church Street, London Road, Needham Road, High Road, A143 Harleston Bypass, Redenhall Road. WYMONDHAM – B1172 Norwich Road from its junction with B1135 Tuttles Lane East for 2500m north eastwards to facilitate white lining works between 20:00 on 25th September and 06:00 on 26th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Tuttles Lane East, A11 (Hethersett, Wymondham). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
WYMONDHAM – U78291 Popie Street from its junction with U79199 Rattle Row for 90m south westwards to facilitate new gas connection works from 22nd to 28th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Popie Street, Town Green, Cock Street, Melton Road, Tuttles Lane West, Hewitts Lane. The works promoter is Cadent.

BAWSEY – B1145 Lynn Road from its junction with A149 Queen Elizabeth Way for 435m eastwards to facilitate shared cycle and footway scheme works, the Road will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 22nd September to 28th November 2025 (may continue until 28th May 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.
BAWSEY – B1145 Lynn Road from its junction with A149 Queen Elizabeth Way for 435m eastwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 22nd September to 6th October 2025 (may continue until 17th November 2025). Alternative route is via: B1145 Gayton Road, Station Road, Lynn Road, Castle Rising Road, Grimston Road, Leziate Drove (Bawsey, Hillington, Roydon, Congham, Castle Rising, Gayton, South Wootton, Leziate, Bawsey, Grimston). EAST RUDHAM – B1153 Station Road from its junction with A148 Fakenham Road for 1325m southwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 22nd to 26th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: B1454 Docking Road, A148 Fakenham Road (Sydestrae, East Rudham, Bagthorpe with Barmer, Tattersett, Tatterford).
SOUTH CREAKE – U12206 Church Lane 20m south of its junction with B1355 for 10m northwards to facilitate water valve replacement works from 26th to 30th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Lane, Back Lane, B1355 Burnham Road, Back Lane. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
OUTWELL – U21005 Robbs Lane from its junction with U21005 Fendyke Road for 500m south-westwards to facilitate open cut works to install strategic pipeline from 23rd September to 6th October 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Hall Dike, Marsh Road, Hall Road, Wisbech Road, Robbs Lane (Emneth, Outwell). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
SOUTH CREAKE – U12217/10 Back Lane 20m south of its junction with B1355 for 40m southwards to facilitate patching works at junction from 25th to 28th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). TERRINGTON ST. CLEMENT – 1) C29 Marsh Road from its junction with C29 Northgate Way for 30m eastwards and 2) Rhoon Road from its junction with C29 Marsh Road for 30m northwards to facilitate new water connection works from 23rd to 25th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Marsh Road, Lynn Road, Churchgate Way, Tower Road, Race Course Road, Rhoon Road (Clenchwarton, Terrington St. Clement). The works promoter is Anglian Water.
WEST WALTON – C1 Mill Road from 280m south of its junction with U21029 Dixons Drove for 299m southwards to facilitate enable safe working for frame and cover replacement works from 23rd to 24th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Mill Road, School Road, Lynn Road, West Drove North, Police Road, Wisbech Road, Walpole Road (Walpole Highway, West Walton, Walpole St. Peter). WEST WINCH – A10 Main Road from its junction with U34263 Rectory Lane to its junction with U22020 Gravelhill Lane to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works from 22:00 on 22nd September to 06:00 on 23rd September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Lynn Road, Stoke Road, Downham Market Road, A1122, B1507, A10, B1153, A134, A47, B1153 to A/10/A149, Constitution Hill (Barton Bendish, Swaffham, Beachamwell, East Walton, Grimston, North Runcton, East Winch, Pentney, Shouldham Thorpe, Shouldham, Tottenhill, Shouldham Thorpe). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council. NB: Please note these works will be carried out in 3 separate phases.
WIGGENHALL ST. GERMANS – U21380 Low Road from its junction with U21426 Thode Lane for 10m eastwards to facilitate regrading works for splitter island from 22nd to 24th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Lynn Road, Thode Lane, Common Road (St. Germans). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required.
The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
