(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE)  ORDER 2025

Fife Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 prohibiting the use by vehicular traffic of –

(i)   Harcourt Rd (from Salisbury St westerly to its termination).
The alternative route for through traffic is via Balfour St, Meldrum Rd and Salisbury St;

(ii)  Harcourt Rd (from Salisbury St to Octavia St).
The alternative route for through traffic is via Salisbury St, Meldrum Rd and Octavia St.

(ii)  Harcourt Rd (from Octavia St to Lina St). 
The alternative route for through traffic is via Octavia St, Meldrum Rd and Harcourt Rd.

(iv) Balfour St (from Harcourt Rd to Meldrum Rd).
The alternative route for through traffic is via Meldrum Rd, Salisbury St and Harcourt Rd.

(v)  Balfour St (from Harcourt Rd to Balsusney Rd).
The alternative route for through traffic is via Harcourt Rd, Salisbury St and Balsusney Rd.

(vi) Viceroy St (from King St to Meldrum Rd).
The alternative route for through traffic is via King St, Elgin St and Meldrum Rd.

(vii) Salisbury St (from Harcourt Rd to Balsusney Rd).
The alternative route for through traffic is via Harcourt Rd, Octavia St and Balsusney Rd.

The Order is to allow street lighting works to be carried out in safety and will be operational on a phased basis daily between 08:00 and 16:30  from 06/10/25 to 28/11/25 or until earlier completion of the works. Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained.
