(Itchingfield Shipley And Southwater:
Run Barns Green Half Marathon, 5k & 10k)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the entire lengths of the following roads unless otherwise stated:-
Itchingfield: Chapel Road from its junction with Two Mile Ash Road southwards for a distance of 5M; Sandhills Road from its junction with Two Mile Ash Road northwards to its junction with Plumtree Cross Lane; Itchingfield Road; Plumtree Cross Lane; Muntham Drive; Westons Hill from its junction with Christ’s Hospital Road southwards to its junction with Plum Tree Cross Lane; and Itchingfield and Shipley: Trout Lane from its junction with Two
Mile Ash Road southwards to its junction with Lackenhurst Lane; and
Itchingfield and Southwater: Christ’s Hospital Road from its junction with King Edward Road westwards to its junction with Westons Hill; Two Mile Ash Road from its junction with Sand Hills Lane to its junction with Christ’s Hospital Road; and Shipley: Baker’s Lane; Dragons Green Road; Lackenhurst Lane;
Dragons Lane from its junction with Baker’s Lane eastwards to its junction with Dragons Green Road; and Shipley and Southwater: Marlpost Road.
These roads form part of the route to be taken by the competitors and will be closed for short periods of time on a rolling basis.
Drivers will be advised of alternative routes where necessary.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained.
The Order is necessary to facilitate the holding of the Run Barns Green Half Marathon, 5k & 10k Event 2025.
The Order will be operative on 28 September 2025 between 0930 hours and 1300 hours.

(Steyning & Bramber: A283 Steyning Bypass)
(40mph & 50mph Speed Limit) Order 2025 & (Billingshurst – Adversane: A29 Stane Street & Adjoining Roads) (30mph & 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made permanent Orders under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:
(i) introduce a 40mph speed limit on a length of the A283 Steyning Bypass from south of Jarvis Lane to High Trees roundabout junction; and
(ii) introduce a 50mph speed limit on a length of the A283 Steyning Bypass from east of the B2135 Horsham Road to south of Jarvis Lane; and
(iii) reduce the existing 40mph speed limit on Adversane crossroads to 30mph. The 30mph speed limit will apply to lengths of the A29 Stane Street, B2133 Adversane Lane and B2133 Lordings Road; and
(iv) introduce a 40mph on the A29 Stane Street from north of Adversane crossroads northwards to Parbrook Roundabout junction and a 600m buffer length south of the Adversane crossroads.
(v) The Orders will come into operation on 29 September 2025.
Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive a copy by post.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks from 25 September 2025, apply to the
High Court for this purpose.
