HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS FOOTPATHS IN CARPENDERS PARK AND WATFORD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath (“the Footpaths”):-
the footpath fronting Nos.11-16 The Hoe, Carpenders Park from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.11 The Hoe north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 35m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east and north sides of Alva Way and the footway situated on the west and south sides of The Hoe.
the footpath fronting Nos.32-35 The Hoe, Carpenders Park from a point in line with the western boundary of No.32 The Hoe north eastwards for a distance of approximately 32m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north east, north west and south west sides of The Hoe.
the footpath situated between No.54 and No.56 Westlea Avenue, Watford from its junction with Westlea Avenue south eastwards to its junction with Eastlea Avenue, a distance of approximately 77m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south east side of Westlea Avenue, the footway situated on the north east side of Leander Gardens and the footway situated on the north side of Eastlea Avenue.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN OTTERSPOOL LANE, ALDENHAM)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Otterspool Lane, Aldenham from its junction with Berry Grove Lane north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CHASE, WATFORD)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Chase, Watford from its junction with A412 Rickmansworth Road northwards, south eastwards and southwards for a distance of approximately 336m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE COURTWAY, CARPENDERS PARK) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Courtway, Carpenders Park from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.8 The Courtway north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via The Courtway, Greenfield Avenue and The Courtway.
The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Square, Watford from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.15 The Square south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 October 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Heysham Drive, South Oxhey from its junction with Foxgrove Path north eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because ground and construction works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE A41 WESTBOUND SLIP ROAD LEADING ONTO THE A405 NORTH ORBITAL ROAD/HIGH ROAD ROUNDABOUT, WOODSIDE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the A41 westbound slip road leading onto the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout, Woodside from its junction with A41 North Western Avenue north westwards to its junction with the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 355m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A41 North Western Avenue, the A41 Hempstead Road/A411 Hempstead Road roundabout and A41 North Western Avenue.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STATION ROAD, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Road, Kings Langley from a point 278m south east of its junction with Home Park Mill Link south eastwards for a distance of approximately 87m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Station Road, Home Park Mill Link, A4251 (Watford Road/High Street/Hempstead Road/London Road), A414 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Road), A414 St Albans Road, A4147 (Leverstock Green Way/Leverstock Green Road), Bedmond Road, Church Hill High Street, Bedmond Road, High Street, Gallows Hill Lane and Station Road.
The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET, RICKMANSWORTH)

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Rickmansworth from its junction with Northway north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Wensum Way, a distance of approximately 376m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Northway, Station Road, Homestead Road, A412 Rectory Road and Wensum Way or via Wensum Way, A412 (Rectory Road/Park Road) and High Street.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Louvain Way, Watford from its northernmost junction with Weall Green south eastwards to its southernmost junction with Weall Green, a distance of approximately 59m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Louvain Way, Horseshoe Lane, Newhouse Crescent, The Brow and Louvain Way.
The Order is needed because the installation of new telecoms pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Harthall Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Bedmond Road south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Railway Terrace, a distance of approximately 2478m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Bedmond Road, Hyde Lane and Railway Terrace.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kenilworth Drive, Croxley Green from its junction with Manor Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 70m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Manor Way, Baldwins Lane, Durrants Drive and Kenilworth Drive.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
