NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER

SECTION 119 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

GISSING FOOTPATH NO. 6 (PART) DIVERSION ORDER 2024

On 16th April 2025 Norfolk County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of the public footpath starting at grid reference TM 1453 8595 and running in a generally east south-easterly direction for approximately 95 metres to grid reference TM 1462 8592 to a line starting at grid reference TM 1453 8595 and running in a generally north north-east direction for approximately 5 metres to grid reference TM 1453 8595 where the footpath then turns to run in a generally south east direction for approximately 97 metres to grid reference TM 1462 8592. The width of the way is 2 metres. Limitations and Conditions: None.

The confirmed order will also divert part of the public footpath starting at grid reference TM 1463 8592 and running in a generally north north-easterly direction for approximately 105 metres to grid reference TM 1467 8601 where it turns to run in a north east direction for approximately 57 metres to meet Malthouse Lane (U76106) at grid reference TM 1471 8605 to a line starting at grid reference TM 1463 8592 and running in a generally south east direction for approximately 41 metres to meet Malt House Lane (U76106) at grid reference TM 1466 8590. The width of the way is 2 metres. Limitations and Conditions: None

in advance) and at the offices of South Norfolk District Council during normal office hours or purchased at a cost of £5.00 from the undersigned.

The order came into force on 5th September 2025, the date the route was certified, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act make an application to the High Court not later than 31st October 2025.
