The cycle tracks are 2.5 metres in width and the footways vary between 3 metres to 3.5 metres in width. Pedestrians and cyclists will have shared use and will not be segregated along the engths of road in Parts A and B. However, in Part C, pedestrians and cyclists will be segregated, with parts of the cycle track also divided from the carriageway by Cambridge Style Kerbing. At unctions with adjacent roads, the cycle track will be shared use. This proposal aims to enhance safety by offering shared and segregated footways and cycle tracks. Cyclists, especially vulnerable ones like children, will benefit from traveling separately from general traffic.
