Parkeston Road, High Street, Temporary Road Closures Due To Repair Works
What is happening?
ESSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
(Parkeston Road, Dovercourt) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parkeston Road, Dovercourt in the District of Tendring, from its junctions with Parkeston Quay Roundabout for a distance of approximately 85m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th October 2025 for 1 night (20:30-05:00) or where stated on a valid permit (FN40693772002 - National Highways). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lamp column replacement works are undertaken by National Highways.
An alternative route is available via A120, B1232, Main Road, Parkeston Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street, Manningtree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Manningtree in the District of Tendring, from its junction with South Street for a distance of approximately 35m in an easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st October 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231013253A -Rose Builders Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while step repair works are undertaken by Rose Builders Ltd.
An alternative route is available via B1352, A137 and vice versa (with access only into Station Road, High Street and The Walls).
The Order came into effect on 12th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
