The County of Wiltshire (Tidworth) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2018 (Amendment No.5) Order 2024)
Notice is hereby given that on 10 September 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which is as follows:
Order 1 – To revoke the Parishes of East Wiltshire Consolidation Order 2016 (with Amendment Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8) and to re-enact it in the above Order 1 and to include additional restrictions, the effect of which will be as follows:
a) To introduce No Waiting at any time on Meade Road, Ludgershall – west side – from its junction with A342 Andover Road for a distance of 85 metres in a northerly direction;
Meade Road, Ludgershall – east side – from its junction with A342 Andover Road for a distance of 45 metres in a northerly direction;
Central Street, Ludgershall – both sides – from its junction with Meade Road for a distance of 55 metres in a southerly direction.
b) To remove Parking Monday to Saturday 9am–5pm 1 hour No return within 1 hour and replace with Disabled Badge Holders Only on High Street, Ludgershall – west side – from a point adjacent the northern building boundary of property known as Saxon Court for a distance of 7 metres in a southerly direction.
Following a decision from the Cabinet Member for Highways, Street Scene and Flooding amendments have been made to the restrictions previously advertised on Dewneys Lane.
Order 2 – To revoke the Tidworth Consolidation Order 2018 (with Amendment Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4) and to re-enact it in the above Order and to include additional restrictions, the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at any time on:
A338 Pennings Road, Tidworth – west side – from a point adjacent the northern boundary of vehicular access to property known as 10 Pennings Road for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction;
Coronation Road, Tidworth – both sides – from its junction with A338 Pennings Road for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction;
Plassey Road, Tidworth – north side – from its junction with St Georges Road for a distance of 38 metres in a westerly direction;
Plassey Road, Tidworth – south side – from its junction with St Georges Road for a distance of 23 metres in a westerly direction;
St Georges Road, Tidworth – north side – from its junction with Plassey Road for a distance of 55 metres in a southerly direction;
St Georges Road, Tidworth – west side – from its junction with Plassey Road for a distance of 18 metres in a southerly direction.

Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
The Orders will come into operation on 22 September 2025.
