What is happening?
NOTICE OF MAKING A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 119
NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY 12 (PART), GRIMSBY, PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On 17th September 2025, North East Lincolnshire Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed will divert that length of Public Public Bridleway 12 Grimsby, at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526156, 411102 running in an south south east direction for approximately 142 metres to at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526217, 410974 where the Bridleway turns to a south south westerly direction for approximately 14 metres to Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526215, 410966 where the bridleway changes to a westerly direction for approximately 34 metres to Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526177, 410959 at the adopted highway known as Moody Lane, Grimsby.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Municipal Offices, Town Hall Square, Grimsby during normal office hours Monday to Friday.
Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at a price of £10.
The Order comes into force on 25th September 2025, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 25th September 2025 make an application to the High Court.
