What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision
of Parking, Amendment No Tbc, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that
The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections
1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
& Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management
Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire Council
(Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Selby )
Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified in the
table below:- Table - Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of
Parking - Disabled Parking Bay Sherburn in Elmet, Springfield Road, West
side of road, from outside number 29 for 4.8m. A copy of the draft Order,
together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the
Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at
County Hall, Northallerton & at Selby Library, 52 Micklegate, Selby, YO8
4EQ during normal office hours from 25/09/25 to 16/10/25 & also viewed
online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the
proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing,
addressed to Area 7 Selby Highways Office, Canal Road, Selby, North

40 Mph Speed Limit, New Road, Ulleskelf, Order 2025 Notice is hereby
given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under
Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of
Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor
vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph on the length of road
specified below:- New Road, Ulleskelf, Westerly direction from the existing
30mph speed limit for 300m. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map
showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for
proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton
& at Tadcaster Library, 8 Station Road, Tadcaster, LS24 9JG during normal
office hours from 25/09/25 until 17/10/25 & also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Highgate, Balne, Order 2025, No. 351
We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Highgate,
Balne for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between
11/10/25 & 26/10/25, due to Quickline works, installing ducting and
chambers for the new BDUK network. However, the max duration of this
Order is until 11/12/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs &
a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. All

30 Mph Speed Limit, Gravelhill Lane, Whitley, Order 2025 Notice is
hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order
under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part
IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any
motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any length
of road specified below:- Gravelhill Lane, Whitley, Southwest direction from
its current location (105m west of Cathcart Close) for 327m. A copy of the
draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement
of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected
at County Hall, Northallerton & at Selby Library, 52 Micklegate, Selby, YO8
4EQ during normal office hours from 25/09/25 until 17/10/25 & also viewed

Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment
No 61, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that on 19/09/25 The North
Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2),
32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule
9 to the 1984 Act and under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of
which is to amend “North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Waiting &
Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Selby) Consolidation Order
2013” by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:- Table -
Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking Sherburn in
Elmet, Beech Grove, from junction with Finkle Hill for the entire length of
Beech Grove - Prohibition of vehicles, except for permit holders. Sherburn
in Elmet, Beech Close from junction with Beech Grove for the entire length
of Beech Close - Prohibition of vehicles, except for permit holders. A copy of
the Order, which comes into operation on 29/09/25, together with a map
showing the roads affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton
& at Sherburn & Villages Community Library,Finkle Hill, Sherburn in Elmet,
LS25 6EA during normal office hours from 25/09/25 until 31/10/25 & also
viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map
or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to question
the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the
grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement
of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with
in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of make application to the
High Court for the purpose.
