What is happening?

SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

 The Borough Council of Sandwell (Robert Road, Tipton)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025
intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along  Robert Road between Phoenix Road & Central Avenue. Traffic will be diverted via Locarno Road, Central Avenue & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 14/10/2025 effective from 06/10/2025.  Purpose – t o facilitate the installation of a new electricity supply by National Grid Distribution. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Cemetery Road, Oldbury)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025
intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along  Cemetery Road, which will be closed from the gable end of property No.46 to the access road to John Edwards Garage (eastern side). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Victoria Road, Holly Lane, West Park Road, St Pauls Road & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 07/10/2025. Purpose – to facilitate access for carriageway repairs in the vicinity of an access chamber by Customer Solutions Plus on behalf of Severn Trent Water.

(Temporary Road Closure, One-Way Suspension & Left Turn Ban)
Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding a long Titford Road,  which will be closed from its junction with Old Park Lane & Broad Street for approximately 25 metres. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained but only when safety permits. A one-way suspension will also be in place from the southern boundary line of property No.39 for approximately 50 metres. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A left-hand turning ban will also be in place on Titford Road opposite property No.39 for the duration of the Titford Road closure. Traffic will be diverted via Park Lane, Park Street, Churchbridge, Birchley Island & Wolverhampton Road. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 20/10/2025 effective from 06/10/2025 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access for maintenance works by Trinity on behalf of Cadent Gas Ltd.
