What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 –
Vicarage Farm Road Ref: 26-138
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Vicarage Farm Road, as lies between Newark Road and Varity House. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Newark Road, Padholme Road East, Vicarage Farm Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 30/09/2025 and will continue until the street lighting maintenance works have been completed or until the 29/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 09:30 and 15:30 on the 30/09/2025.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 –
Topmoor Way Ref: 26-132
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Topmoor Way, for it’s entire length. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Paston Ridings, Hallfields Lane, Fulbridge Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/09/2025 and will continue until the cut and patch works have been completed or until the 28/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 09:30 and 15:30 on the 29/09/2025 and 30/09/2025.

Merevale Drive, Eye Ref: 26-133
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Merevale Drive, Eye, as lies between numbers 9 and 11 Merevale Drive. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Bath Road. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/09/2025 and will continue until the new domestic gas service works have been completed or until the 28/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 29/09/2025 and the 03/10/2025.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 –
Cardinals Gate, Werrington Ref: 26-134
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Cardinals Gate, Werrington, as lies between Davids Lane and 2 Cardinals Gate. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles and pedestrians affected by this order is: for pedestrians via Davids Lane, footpath between 5 & 6 Cardinals Gate, Cardinals Gate and vice versa. Vehicle access to be provided for residents. The proposed order will come into force on the 30/09/2025 and will continue until the telecoms ducting works have been completed or until the 29/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 09:00 and 17:00 on the 30/09/2025 to the 02/10/2025.

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Hallfields Lane, as lies between Cambrian Way and Fulbridge Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Fullbridge Road, Topmoor Way, Paston Ridings and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 01/10/2025 and will continue until the cut and patch works have been completed or until the 30/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 09:30 and 15:30 on the 01/10/2025.

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order –
Adderley, Bretton – 2025 Ref: 26-140
The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Adderley, Bretton, as lies between the rear of 23 and 26 Adderley. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. There is no alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order. The proposed Order will come into operation on 06/10/2025 and will continue until the gas repair works have been completed or until the 05/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 06/10/2025 and 10/10/2025

Castle Drive, Northborough Ref: 26-141
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Castle Drive, Northborough, as lies between Granville Avenue and St Andrews Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Granville Avenue, St Andrews Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 06/10/2025 and will continue until the gas main connection works have been completed or until the 05/10/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 06/10/2025 and the 08/10/2025.

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order, access will be maintained. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/10/2025 and will continue until the telecoms works have been completed or until the 07/10/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 08/10/2025 and the 09/10/2025.

The City of Peterborough, Bourges Boulevard, Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 (Temporary Restriction of
Through Traffic) Notice 26-137 2025 Ref: 26-137
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Bourges Boulevard, as lies between Westfield Road and Mayors Walk. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Bourges Boulevard, Thorpe Road, A1179 Longthorpe Parkway, A1260 Nene Parkway, A47, Bourges Boulevard and vice versa. This notice is made in the interest of lining works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 30/09/2025. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Lincoln Road, as lies between Mountsteven Avenue and Lincoln Road roundabout 45. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Werrington Parkway, Glinton Bypass, Paston Parkway, A47, Lincoln Road and vice versa. This notice is made in the interest of Lining works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 29/09/2025. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
