  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Order under section 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effects of the Waiting and Loading Restrictions Order will be to introduce lengths of double yellow lines in Cromwell Road around the new raised tables and buildout and a length of single yellow line operating between 8am and 9.am and between 2.30pm and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

  3. The general effects of the Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Order will be to extend the existing markings in Cromwell Road outside Collis Primary School.

  4. Copies of the proposed Order, plans showing the location and effect of the proposals and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order :-

    (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/166, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

  5. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 21 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. Representations may also be sent by email to Trafficorders@richmond.gov.uk

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure

Arlington Road, Twickenham.

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Utility works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Arlington Road, Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Arlington Road, Twickenham from the boundary wall of 1-24 Howmic Court northeastwards for a distance of 25 metres to the boundary wall of number 31 Arlington Road.

  3. The order will come into effect on 22 September 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 22 September to 23 September 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 16A

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (SPECIAL EVENTS) (CAR FREE DAY) (NO. 10) ORDER 2025

(Reference 25/164)

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the 16 September 2025 made the above Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of this Order is to facilitate the holding of a street party in various streets for car free day to allow residents to celebrate within their communities.

  3. The street which will be closed is listed in the Schedule to this notice. Full details of the lengths of street which will be closed and times when the closures will be in force will be contained in the order referred to in the next paragraph.

  4. Copies of the Order:-

    (a) can be inspected until 31 December 2025, quoting Reference 25/164 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:
