Back Lane - Temporary Road Closure To Pre-Surface Dressing Patching Works

Temporary Closure of Back Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Back Lane - from the junction with Shapwick Road to the junction with Main Road. A total distance of 261 metres.
This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways.
Solid diamond symbolization will be used on the diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.
The Order becomes effective on 9th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 13th October 2025 and last until 17th October 2025 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 5 days.
