Swarkestone Road - Temporary Road Closure For Repairs And Maintenance To Network Rail Asset
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
SWARKESTONE ROAD, WESTON-ON-TRENT
WHEN: Over consecutive weekends starting from 11 October to 21 December 2025 (between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00).
WHERE: Swarkestone Road, Weston-on-Trent from a point approx. 1.2km east of its Jct. with A514 Derby Road, for an approx. distance of 200m west.
REASON: To facilitate repairs and maintenance to Network Rail asset.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A514 Derby Road, Bonnie Prince Roundabout, A50, A6, Thulston Island, B5010 London Road, Derby Road, Weston Road, Swarkestone Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
