Ashbourne Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ASHBOURNE LANE, CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH
WHEN: 11 October 2025 (09:30 - 15:00).
WHERE: Ashbourne Lane, Chapel-en-le-Frith at Jct. with Beresford Road.
REASON: To facilitate replace manhole cover and frame in carriageway.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Ashbourne Lane, Long Lane, Manchester Road, High Street, Market Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
