What is happening?

CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
LIMPSFIELD ROAD & VILLAGE WAY, SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING
Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements and parking in Limpsfield Road and Village Way.
Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Village Way will be closed at its junction with Limpsfield Road.
(b) Parking will be suspended and temporary waiting and loading restrictions operating at any time will be introduced in Limpsfield Road on both sides of the road, between its junctions with Village Way and Mitchley Hill.
During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be via Limpsfield Road, or via Limpsfield Road, Mitchley Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 06 October 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 12 December 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
The restriction will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

OAK AVENUE, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms ducting blockage clearance works, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic on Oak Avenue, Croydon.
Whilst the said works are taking place Oak Avenue will be closed at its junction with Wickham Road, adjacent to the Bank wall of No. 826 Wickham Road.
During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be via Ash Road, Bridle Road, A232 Wickham Road, and vice versa. Residents’ access will be maintained.
The Order will come into operation on 06 October 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in conducting the said works.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into the section of road to which the Order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ALTYRE ROAD, CROYDON
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING.
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a crane operation to move telecoms equipment to and from a rooftop, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Altyre Road.
Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Altyre Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between the public entrance and the northern boundary of Croydon Law Courts.
(b) Parking bays within the above closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
(c) The western footway of Altyre Road (outside the courts) will be closed between the public entrance and the northern boundary of Croydon Law Courts.
During the closure the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Hazledean Road, Addiscombe Grove, Barclay Road, Park Lane Roundabout and vice versa. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure will be directed to the opposite footway.
The Order will come into operation on 04 October 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out over three days between the hours of 06.00 and 22.00 on 04, 05, 11 and 12, and 18 and 19 October 2025 with possible use of 25 and 26 October 2025, if the works are delayed. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the Order applies.
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
(c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.

CATERHAM DRIVE, COULSDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate fibre optic works they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Caterham Drive, Coulsdon.
Whilst the said works are taking place Caterham Drive will be closed outside No. 59 Caterham Drive.
During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be via Waddington Avenue, Homefield Road, Taunton Lane, The Glade, and reversed.
The Order will come into operation on 06 October 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 31 October 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
(c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.
