VARIOUS STREETS, METHIL - RAISED TABLES

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 37 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 that Fife Council propose to introduce road humps in the form of raised tables as follows:

Raised Tables

(8m x 5m x 100mm) – Kirkland Walk from a point 150 metres or thereby west of the extended west kerbline of Sycamore Avenue in a westerly direction for a distance of 8 metres or thereby.

(4m x 5m x 100mm) – Access road between Kirkland Walk and Oakvale Road from a point 64 metres or thereby southeast of the extended east kerbline of Poplar Road in a north-easterly direction for a distance of  4  metres or thereby.

(4m x 6m x 100mm) – Car Park between Kirkland Walk and Oakvale Road from the extended north kerbline of Kirkland Walk in a northerly direction for a distance of 4 metres or thereby.

(6m x 8m x 100mm) – Sycamore Road (South of Kirkland Walk) from a point 5 metres or thereby south of the extended south kerbline of Kirkland Walk in a southerly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(4m x 6m x 100mm) – Sycamore Road (North of Kirkland Walk) from the extended north kerbline of Kirkland Walk in a northerly direction for a distance of 4 metres or thereby.

(10m x 7m x 100mm) – Kirkland Walk Northern Access Road from the extended north kerbline of Kirkland Walk 20 metres or thereby west of the extended west kerbline of Laburnum Road in a northeasterly direction for a distance of 10 metres or thereby.

(6m x 6m x 100mm) – Laburnum Road from a point 5 metres or thereby south of the extended south kerbline of Kirkland Walk in a southerly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(6m x 7m x 100mm) – Kirkland Walk from a point 97 metres or thereby east of the extended east kerbline of Laburnum Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(10m x 7m x 100mm) – Kirkland Walk Northern Access Road from the extended north kerbline of Kirkland Walk 120 metres or thereby east of the extended east kerbline of Laburnum Road in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres or thereby.

(4m x 10m x 100mm) – Methil Brae (western arm) from with the extended south kerbline of Kirkland walk in a southerly direction for a distance of  4 metres or thereby.

(4m x 8m x 100mm) – Methil Brae (eastern arm) from with the extended south kerbline of Kirkland walk in a southerly direction for a distance of  4 metres or thereby.

(6m x 6m x 100mm) – Lilac Bank from a point 5 metres or thereby west of the extended west kerbline of Methil Brae in a westerly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(6m x 6m x 100mm) – Methil Brae (towards Steelworks Brae) from a point 63 metres or thereby south of the extended south kerbline of Kirkland Walk in a southerly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(6m x 6m x 100mm) – Watt Crescent (southern junction) from a point 5 metres or thereby east of the extended east kerbline of Steelworks Brae in an easterly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(6m x 6m x 100mm) – Watt Crescent (northern junction) from a point 5 metres or thereby east of the extended east kerbline of Steelworks Brae in an easterly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(13m x 13m x 100mm) – Methil Brae (western arm) from a point 200 metres or thereby south of the extended south kerbline of Lilac Bank in a southerly direction for a distance of 13 metres or thereby and from the extended west kerbline of the eastern arm of Methil Brae in a westerly direction for a distance of 13 metres or thereby.

(9m x 8m x 100mm) – Methil Brae from a point 8 metres or thereby north of the extended north kerbline of Methilhaven Road in a northerly direction for  a distance of 9 metres or thereby.

(32m x 30m x 100mm) – Methil Brae/Den Walk from a point 47 metres or thereby southeast of the extended southwest kerbline of Kirkland Drive in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 32 metres or thereby; and from a point 132 metres or thereby northeast of the extended north kerbline of Byron Street/Keir Hardie Street in a northeasterly direction for a distance of 30  metres or thereby.

(13m x 16m x 100mm) – Methilhaven Road at Morar Street from the extended south kerbline of Methilhaven Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 13m or thereby.

(16m x 16m x 100mm) – Kirkland Drive from the extended south kerbline of Methilhaven Road in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 16 metres or thereby; and from the extended southwest kerbline of Kirkland Drive in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 7 metres or thereby.

(20m x 5m x 100mm) – Kirkland Drive from the extended south kerbline of Methilhaven Road in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 20 metres or thereby.

(6m x 7m x 100mm) Kirkland Parade from the extended south kerbline of Methilhaven Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(6m x 7m x 100mm) – Kirkland Care Village Service Entrance from the extended south kerbline of Methilhaven Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(6m x 13m x 100mm) – Den Walk from the extended south kerbline of Methilhaven Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 6 metres or thereby.

(10m x 7m x 100mm) – Kirkland Walk from a point 5 metres of thereby west of the extended west kerbline of Den Walk in a westerly direction for a distance of 10 metres of thereby.

Full details of the proposals may be examined during opening hours at Fife Council Headquarters, Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes and via public access pc’s at your closest library. The documents will also be available online at www.fife.gov.uk/notices 

Objections to the proposals, stating the grounds of objection and the objector’s name & address, should be sent to Traffic Management, Roads & Transportation Service, Bankhead Central, Bankhead Park, Glenrothes,  Fife KY7 6GH or by e-mail to traffic.management@fife.gov.uk by 22/10/25.
