Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
The County of Cornwall (Ricketts Road, Polgooth) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Polgooth.

This prohibition is necessary for cleansing of SWW sewer pipes and it is expected that the closure will be from 21st October 2025 to 23rd October 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0900 and 1700, weekdays only.

Road affected - Ricketts Road, Polgooth from property known as Hillway Winds to near Honeysuckle Cottage.

The County of Cornwall (Ulalia Road, Newquay) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Newquay.

This prohibition is necessary for repairs to mine workings under road surface and it is expected that the closure will be from 6th October 2025 to 26th December 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included.

Road affected - Ulalia Road, Newquay between No 21 and No 31.

The County of Cornwall (Par Green, Eastcliffe Road, Par) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Stopping) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Par.

This prohibition is necessary for resurfacing works and it is expected that the closure will be from 6th October 2025 to 11th October 2025. 

Road subject to prohibition - Par Green, Par for its entire length.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily impose a stopping prohibition the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to stop as specified on the undermentioned lengths of road in Par. 

Where any vehicle is found to be in contravention of this Order it may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and may be removed from site.

Roads subject to stopping prohibition - Par Green, Eastcliffe Road, Par for their entire lengths.

Notice is further given that Cornwall Council has made the above order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing one- way order cited as The County of Cornwall (Par) (Restrictions on Driving) (Consolidation) Order 1991 Eastcliffe Road, (Class Ill) for its entire length. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0600, weekends included.

The County of Cornwall (Lower Bore Street, Bodmin) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Bodmin.

This prohibition is necessary for poling works and it is expected that the closure will be from 12th October 2025 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530, weekends included.

Road affected - Lower Bore Street, Bodmin from No 29 to No 51.

The County of Cornwall (Road From Junction North West Of Tregidgeo Farm To Trelean Vean, St Austell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Austell.

This prohibition is necessary for drainage replacement works and it is expected that the closure will be from 6th October 2025 to 14th October 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. 

Road affected - Road From Junction North West Of Tregidgeo Farm To Trelean Vean, St Austell from junction with Road From Junction East Of Carlooze Bridge To Trelean Vean to junction with Access To Tregain Farm.

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers underSection 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Stephen. 

This prohibition is necessary for repairs to SWW infrastructure and it is expected that the closure will be from 24th October 2025 for one day. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 2359, weekdays only.

Road affected - Gwindra Road, St Stephen between No 5 and No 9.

The County of Cornwall (Ridgewood Close, St Austell) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Stopping) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in St Austell.

This prohibition is necessary for works to application of thin surface course and it is expected that the closure will be from 20th October 2025 to 24th October 2025.

Road subject to prohibition - Ridgewood Close, St Austell for its entire length. Notice is further given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily impose a stopping prohibition the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to stop as specified on the undermentioned length of road in St Austell.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is under the above Order dated 22nd March 2025 continuing to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being unrecorded footpath running below North Quay Hill Newquay and around the side of the harbour between grid references SW 80732:62115 and SW 80748:62140.

The Order which commenced on the 2nd March 2025 and is currently in force for up to six months will now continue until the 23rd March 2026. The continuance of this Order, which was to have expired on the 23rd September 2025 has been approved by the Secretary of State for Transport.

The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The Council is satisfied that this further restriction is necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed due to defective handrail and defective structure. 

Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

The County of Cornwall (Road From Whitecross To A30 Eastbound And Praze Lane, Bodmin) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Bodmin.

This prohibition is necessary for drainage rehabilitation works and it is expected that the closure will be from 20th October 2025 to 22nd October 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0730 and 1800, weekdays only. 

Road affected - Road From Whitecross To A30 Eastbound And Praze Lane, Bodmin between Whitecross and Pennant Farm.
