What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 22 September 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Queens Road (D3604) Knaphill Woking as extends from the western boundary of the property known as “10 Queens Road” to the eastern boundary of the property known as “14 Queens Road”.

Alternative Route – Broadway, High Street and Lower Guildford Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 October 2025 for 1 day, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 24 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3782 Martyrs Lane, Woodham that extends from its junction with A245 Woodham Lane, for a distance of 100m. This Traffic Order is required to enable Cadent Gas/ OMJ to carry out gas mains replacement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm within 4 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Martyrs Lane, Chertsey Road and Woodham Lane.
