Green Lane (D5341) Badshot Lea
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 22 September 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Green Lane (D5341) Badshot Lea as extends from its junction with Bartlett Avenue (X11314) to its junction with Badshot Lea Road (B3208).
Alternative Route – B3208 (Badshot Lea Road and Monkton Lane), B3367 (Monkton Lane), B3007 (Weybourne Road) and Lower Weybourne Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SSE to facilitate installation of 33KV line and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 October 2025 for 3 months, between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
D5517 Church Lane, Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 24 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D5517 Church Lane, Haslemere that extends from its junction with D5517 Church Green, to its junction with D5518 Beech Road. This Traffic Order is required by Volkerhighways/Network Rail to enable rail works at the “Church Lane Railway Bridge”, to include:- drainage, jetting, CCTV works and/or repair and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 4am and 11:59pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route:- Haslemere High Street, Lower Street, Tanners Lane and Church Green/Church Hill.
Pond Lane (D688) Churt and Mill Lane (D123) Frensham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- (a) Pond Lane (D688) Churt as extends from its junction with Frensham Road (A287) to the access for the property known as “Heather Warren”; and (b) Mill Lane (D123) Frensham as extends from the access for the property known as “Mere House” to the access for the property known as “Hunters.”
Alternative Route – (a) A287 (Frensham Road) and Bacon Lane, or this route in reverse. (b) Pitt Lane, Shortfield Common Road, A287 (Frensham Road) and The Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services Limited to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 October 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Critchmere Lane (D5508) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Critchmere Lane (D5508) Haslemere as extends from its junction with (X83013) Critchmere Vale to its junction with (X5508) Access to Oak Cottages. Alternative Route: Critchmere Lane, Critchmere Hill, (A287) Hindhead Road, (A287) Church Road, (B2131) Liphook Road, and Critchmere Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate electrical connection works for, or on behalf of SSE. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days, between the hours of 8am and 5.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(2) Public Footpath No. 85 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 85 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 was made to allow the installation and/or re-alignment of utility services required for the residential development for which planning consent has been granted (WA/2023/00848). The Order came into operation on 7 April 2025. It was due to expire on 6 October 2025 but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 6 April 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier. The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of Footpath 85 (Farnham) from its junction with Footpath 89 (Farnham) at OS Grid Ref. 483837 146935 in a generally south easterly direction to its junction with West Street at OS Grid Ref. 483873 146823.
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected. The alternative route for traffic from the northern end of the closure is: Proceed in a westerly direction along Footpath 89 (Farnham) for a distance of 45 metres, then continue in a south easterly direction along Footpath 86 (Farnham) – Lion & Lamb Yard – to West Street, then in north easterly direction for 20 metres to the southern point of the closure.
The alternative route for traffic from the southern end of the closure will be the reverse of the route described above.
