The County of Herefordshire District Council, known as Herefordshire Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of Part I and Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the 1984 Act) and the Traffic Management Act 2004 (the 2004 Act) and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby proposes to make the above-named Order the effect of which would vary the Herefordshire Council (Speed Limit) (Consolidation) Order 2022 and the Herefordshire Council (Various Traffic Movements) (Consolidation) Order 2022 so that the speed limit and prohibition of overtaking restriction be introduced on the roads listed in the schedules below:

B4224 FROM JACKSONS LANE TO A40From its junction with A40 for a distance of 25m in a northerly direction.
B4222 FROM RUDHALL BROOK TO GLOUCESTERSHIRE BOUNDARYFrom a point 120m southwest of its junction with U70246 to a point 19m northeast of its junction with U70270 Willow Walk.
A copy of the 2022 Orders, the draft Variation Orders named above, a consultation plan and Statement of Reasons can be viewed on the Council’s website at www.herefordshire.gov.uk in the Proposed Traffic Regulation Orders section. They are also available for inspection during normal office hours at the Hereford Customer Service Centre, Blue School House, Blue School Street, Hereford, HR1 2LX. Photocopies of the same may be provided on payment of photocopying charges at the Council. General enquiries relating to the proposal should be referred to the Streets Team at AECOM Ltd. Objections to the proposal together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing to the Streets Team, AECOM Ltd, 3 Rivergate, Redcliffe, Bristol, BS1 6ER or by email to will.wilson@aecom.com

The deadline for the receipt of objections is 12:00 noon on Friday 10th October 2025.

Representations of support will also be received during this time.
