Barnsfold Road And Hollingworth Drive - To Introduce A 20 Mph Speed Limit
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (BARNSFOLD ROAD AND HOLLINGWORTH DRIVE, MARPLE) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to introduce a 20 MPH Speed Limit at Barnsfold Road (both directions), from the junction of Upper Hibbert Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 400m to the boundary of the adopted highway, Barnsfold Road (exit arm only), from property number 16 Barnsfold Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 72m to the junction of Upper Hibbert Lane, and Hollingworth Drive (both directions), from the junction of Barnsfold Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 155m including the turning head. Full details of these proposals are set out in the draft Order which, together with the map, may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport SK1 3XE.
