Godfrey Street - Temporary Road Closures For Crane Works
What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES GODFREY STREET
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR CRANE WORKS.
Godfrey Street to be closed from outside of 35 to 43 Godfrey Street.
To be closed from 08.00hrs until 17.00hrs on Wednesday 8th October 2025, with a backup date of Wednesday 15th October 2025.
Diverted through traffic to use Godfrey Street, Cale Street, Danube Street or Astell Street, Burnsall Street Godfrey Street, or Godfrey Street, Cale Street, Markham Street, King’s Road, Sydney Street, Britten Street, Astell Street, Burnsall Street Godfrey Street.
The one way working on Godfrey Street is to be suspended for the duration of the works.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
