What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400647 SHERBORNE STREET (BOURTON THE WATER PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400647 Sherborne Street Road from its junction with Bow Lane to its junction with Letch Lane for a distance of approximately 149 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for new water connection works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (ODDINGTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures is for drainage works.

Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 25th September 2025.

There will be no waiting, stopping or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 22nd September 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all such works will be completed by 31st August 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY HSU 5 (UPPER SLAUGHTER PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Bridleway HSU 5 from its junction with Lower Swell Road to Snowshill Road in a generally southerly direction for approximately 1000 metres to its junction with Public Footpath HSU 8.

The Public Bridleway falls within the Parish of Upper Slaughter in the Cotswold District, in the County of Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to safeguard the public while Ash Die Back tree felling takes place.

The Order will come into force on the 11th October 2025. It is expected that the Public Bridleway will remain closed until the 11th April 2026.

This Order can remain in force for six months. If a longer period of time is required, it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

Alternative Route – No alternative route available. Emergency access and pedestrian access to adjoining properties will be maintained.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4035 PAXFORD ROAD (CHIPPING CAMPDEN TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4035 Paxford Road from its junction with Clay Lane to its junction with the Lane to The Lilacs for a distance of approximately 859 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for building works to a damaged wall.

The said road is expected to be closed each night between 22:00hrs and 06:30hrs from 6th October until 11th October 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.
