Sand Lane, Wilberfoss - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
SAND LANE, WILBERFOSS
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along Sand Lane, Wilberfoss
between the junctions of Sandy Acres Access Road and
Rose Cottage Access Road commencing
24 October 2025 at 08.00 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
installation of a new water supply connection works, to
be carried out and completed in a manner consistent
with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by
30 October 2025 at 20.00 hours. The alternative
route for traffic affected by the Order is via Sand Lane,
Feoffee Common Lane, York Road, Hull Road and vice
versa. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for
vehicular access to properties directly affected by the
closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 24 October 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
