What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
EVERINGHAM LANE, HAYTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along Everingham Lane, Hayton commencing 08.00
hours until 18.00 hours on 20 October 2025 to
allow works for Everingham Lane, Hayton.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
within one day. The alternative route for traffic affected
by the road closure will be via Everingham Lane, York
Road, Hayton Layby, Thorpe Le Street Road and Blamire
Lane, Hayton CP, Everingham CP, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
