TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08421 – Hollowmoor Heath in Barrow
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Barrow, Chester to enable installation works, works to be carried out by Seven Trent Water.
Hollowmoor Heath – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 29/09/2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.
Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Hollowmoor Heath – Go northwest on Hollowmoor Heath (513.17 metres) Continue forward on Irons Lane (2.43 metres) Make a U-turn and go back on Irons Lane (2.43 metres) Turn right on Hollowmoor Heath (287.60 metres) Make a sharp left on Heath Lane (1.95 metres).
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08420 – King Street in Chester
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable Bridge Maintenance works. These works are to be carried out by CWAC.
King Street – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
The Order will come into force on 26th September 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 4 weeks to complete.
Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: King Street, Chester – from the junction with St Martins Way for 10 metres, access maintained via Pemberton Road and Water Tower Street.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
TR08428 – Chester Road in Neston
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Neston to enable utility works, to be carried out by Cadent Gas.
Chester Road: Jnc of Gladstone – entrance to the carpark – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Parkgate Road, The Parade, Chester High Road, Bathouse Lane, High Street, Station Road. Go northwest on B5136 (High Street) toward Pykes Weint (135.77 metres)
Bear left on B5135 (Parkgate Road) (1245.72 metres)
Turn right at South Parade to stay on B5135 (Station Road) (2331.90 metres) Turn left on A540 (Chester Road) (7.38 metres) Make a U-turn and go back on A540 (Chester Road) (3197.39 metres).

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable Bridge Maintenance works. These works are to be carried out by CWAC.
City Walls Road between the junction of St Martins Way and Brennus Place – Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.
