Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
B2011 Dover Hill, Folkestone (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on through traffic on part of B2011 Dover Hill, Folkestone, on or after 29th September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
B2011 Dover Hill will have a mandatory 30MPH speed limit imposed on the Westbound carriageway only, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 only.
The speed limit will be imposed from the junction of Crete Road East and A260 Hill Road roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Hogg Lane, Snargate & Snargate Road, Kenardington (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hogg Lane, Snargate & Snargate Road, Kenardington, on or after 18th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
Closures will be between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only.
Hogg Lane will be closed at the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Snargate Road will be closed at the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hogg Lane, Arrowhead Lane, B2080 Station Road, B2080 The Street, Heath Road, Kenardington Road, Snargate Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
King Street, Brookland (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of King Street, Brookland, on or after 06:00 18th October 2025 with estimated completion by 00:01 19th October 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via King Street, Rectory Lane, A259 Rectory Lane Roundabout, A259 Brookland Bypass, A259 Straight Lane, A259 Rhee Wall Roundabout, B2080 Rhee Wall, B2080 Brenzett Corner Roundabout and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Maxted Street, Stelling Minnis, CT4 6DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Maxted Street, Stelling Minnis, on or after 17th October 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from approximately 80m West and approximately 50m East of the entrance Little Pett Bottom Place, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Maxted Street, Misling Lane, B2068 Stone Street, Lymbridge Green, Big Pett, Whatsole Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Swan Lane, Sellindge, TN25 6HG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Swan Lane, Sellindge, on or after 13th October 2025 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Moorstock Lane for approximately 533m in a Westerly direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Swan Lane, Blind House Lane, B2068 Stone Street, B2068 Stanford Bypass, B2068 Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Barrow Hill, A20 Main Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tillery Lane, Brookland, TN29 9TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tillery Lane, Brookland, on or after 06:00 18th October 2025 with estimated completion by 00:01 19th October 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Barnhouse Lane, Tickners Lane, A259 Rhee Wall, Tillery Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
