Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

 

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic  Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

ASHFORD AREA

 

A20 Hythe Road, Willesborough. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A20 Hythe Road, Willesborough from 20:00 hours on 17th October 2025, with estimated completion by 7th November 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in phases as below, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site:

Phase 1 - Directional closure between Sevington Interchange and Tesco Roundabout.

Phase 2 - Directional closure to be extended between Sevington Interchange and Lacton Interchange.

Phase 3 - Return to directional closure between Sevington Interchange and Tesco Roundabout.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Hythe Road, A20 A2070 M20 J10a Roundabout, Link Road Between Junction 10a M20 To A2070, A2070 From M20 J10a Roundabout To A2070 Sevington Roundabout W, Cycle Track From Church Road To Church Road Using Footbridge, Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 From J A2042 To M20 J10 Roundabout N, Willesborough Interchange, A2070 M20 J10 Roundabout and M20 Junction 10 From Junction 9 Off Slip.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

A28 High Street, East Cross, Rolvenden Road & West Cross, Tenterden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow carriageway strengthening works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A28 High Street, East Cross, Rolvenden Road & West Cross, Tenterden from 29th September 2025, with estimated completion by 3rd October 2025, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Small Hythe Road and Recreational Ground Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 East Cross, Ashford Road, Silver Hill, Grange Road, A262 Biddenden Road, High Halden Lane, Tenterden Road, Benenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Rolvenden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Appledore Road, Kenardington. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Appledore Road, Kenardington from 2nd October 2025, with estimated completion by 3rd October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside Brittons Hill Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Appledore Road, B2067 Kenardington Road, Woodchurch Road, Bench Hill, Warehorne Road, D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane Junction With B2067 To D1291 Junction With D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane and High House Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Church Road, Warehorne. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Road, Warehorne from 18th October 2025, for up to one day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 10m either side of the Warehorne level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Road, Snargate Road, Arrowhead Lane, Cuckolds Lane, Ham Mill Lane, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, Marsh Road, The Street, B2067 Warehorne Road, Kenardington Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Green Hill Lane, Egerton, TN27 9EU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Green Hill Lane, Egerton from 13th October 2025, with estimated completion by 17th October 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Oaks Farm and Browns Kitchen, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Green Hill Lane, New Road, Egerton Road, Forge Hill, Smarden Road, The Pinnock, Mundy Bois Lane, C86 Mundy Bois Road Junction With C146 Pinnock Road To Junction With Green Hill Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Harris Lane, High Halden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Harris Lane, High Halden from 30th September 2025, with estimated completion by 1st October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the entrance to The Paddock, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Harris Lane, Thurstons Lane, Cripple Hill, A28 Ashford Road, Bull Lane, Pot Kiln Lane, High Halden Road From Pb To Pb and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Stock Lane, Brabourne. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025

To allow pole and cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stock Lane, Brabourne, from 2nd October 2025, with estimated completion by 3rd October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Pilgrims Way, Stock Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
