(Bridleway 19, Wickham Bishops)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025
Further to notices: Under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), which commenced on 08 August 2025 and 29 August 2025.
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 19, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Bridleway 21 for approximately 1,282 metres.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19 September 2025 to 19 March 2026 weather permitting, or where appropriate signs are showing and is required for the safety of the public due to an unsafe over bridge.
The alternative route will be via: Bridleway 19, Langford Road, Bridleway 21 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 19 September 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the over bridge has been made safe, whichever is the earlier.
(Church Road, Station Road, Mope Lane, Wellands, Blacksmiths Lane, Byron Drive & Roots Lane, Wickham Bishops) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
Phase 1: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Church Close to its junction with Station Road a distance of approximately 205m & Station Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 10m in a south westerly direction & Mope Lane, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly then northerly direction.
Phase 2: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Leigh Drive for a distance of approximately 200m in a south westerly direction.
Phase 3: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 10m south west of its junction with Wellands for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly then south easterly then north easterly direction & Wellands, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 10m in a north westerly direction.
Phase 4: To temporarily close that length of Blacksmiths Lane, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Church Road to its junction with Arbour Lane a distance of approximately 320m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 13th October 2025 for 53 days (works to be completed in phases), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001441758, AZ5011001439871, AZ5011001439870, AZ5011001449104, AZ5011001446783, AZ5011001446786 & AZ5011001446784 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

Phase 1 & 2: B1018, A414, B1018, B1022, Prince of Wales Road, Maypole Road, The Street and vice versa.
Phase 3: B1018, A414, B1018, B1022, Prince of Wales Road, Maypole Road, The Street, Witham Road and vice versa.
Phase 4: B1018, A414, B1018, B1022, Prince of Wales Road, Maypole Road, School Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Goldhanger Road, Heybridge)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Goldhanger Road, Heybridge in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Chigborough Road to a distance of approximately 315m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013324161 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via B1026, B1022, B1023, B1026 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Marlpits Road, Purleigh)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Marlpits Road, Purleigh in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 60m south east of its junction with Hyde Chase for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th October 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30085043673 – UK Power).
(Witham Road, Little Braxted)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Witham Road, Little Braxted in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 1120m south east then south west then south east of its junction with Colemans Bridge for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th October 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30044462204 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

The Order will come into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hackmans Lane, Cold Norton)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hackmans Lane, Cold Norton in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Stow Road to its junction with Hagg Hill a distance of approximately 770m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th September 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2388598 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Stow Road, Latchingdon Road, B1010, Marlpits Road, Hackmans Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street, Maldon)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 20m north east of its junction with West Square for a distance of approximately 55m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th September 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013328554-04 – Essex and Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via High Street, Mill Road, Cross Road, Fambridge Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hyde Lane, Danbury)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hyde Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Hyde Green for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th September 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M146114 – Essex and Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water leak repair works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Maldon Road, Copt Hill, Gay Bowers Lane, Mill Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
