Westmorland & Furness, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (GREEN
LANE, FLOOKBURGH AND THE U5622 LEVENS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) Green Lane, Flookburgh, from a point approx 105 metres north of its junction with Ellas Orchard (U5911), extending in a northerly direction for a distance of approx. 100 metres. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Green Lane, Rosthwaite, C5041, Station Road (B5278) and Market Street (B5277). Duration: From 7th October 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/15871)
(ii) U5622, Levens, from a point approx. 15 metres south east of its junction with the A590 (West Bound Side), extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 90 metres. There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles. Duration: From 27th October 2025 for approx. 10 days (Ref: TTROW/15849)

The Order will come into operation on 7th October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
