West Rainton, Temporary Road Closures Due To Carriageway Surfacing Works

(Prospect View and School Avenue, West Rainton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025

The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of road. 1. A 220 metre length of Prospect View between its junctions with The Crescent and School Avenue; 2. A 170 metre length of Prospect View between Numbers 7, 11, 20 and 24 Prospect View and 3. A 95 metre length of School Avenue between Number 63 to 64 Prospect View and Numbers 43 to 46 and 17 to 20 School Avenue to enable carriageway surfacing works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic via School Avenue and The Crescent. Emergency service access will be always afforded to properties. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on Monday 6/10/2025 and are anticipated to be completed in 9 days. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
