What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council,

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Garrs Lane, Grassington & Main Street, Grassington, Order 2025, No. 325

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Garrs Lane & Main Street, Grassington for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 22/09/25 & 31/10/25, due to Yorkshire Water works to replace the water main. However, the max duration of this Order is until 22/03/26. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No Tbc, Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which will be to amend “North Yorkshire Council (Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking) (District of Craven) Consolidation Order 2013” by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:-

Table - Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking - Disabled Parking Bay

Cononley, Main Street, North East side of road, from South Eastern boundary of property number 36 to North West for 4.8m.

A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Skipton Library, 46A High Street, Skipton BD23 1JX during normal office hours from 18/09/25 to 09/10/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map
