What is happening?

(Bridleway 33, Great Dunmow)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 33, Great Dunmow in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Stortford Road, northwest for approximately 754 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 23 September 2025 to 01 March 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while the Bridleway surface is renewed.

Alternative route: There will be an alternative route immediately adjacent to the bridleway.

The Order will come into effect on 23 September 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bedwell Road, Ugley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bedwell Road, Ugley in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 20m east of its junction with Field Gate Lane for a distance of approximately 535m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th October 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC11700000000000313908DN0 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Pound Lane, B1383, Debden Road, Newport Road, Water Lane, Elder Street, B184, B1051, Station Road, New Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Road, Stansted)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Stansted in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Dairy Lane for a distance of approximately 90m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th October 2025 for 1 night (22:00 – 06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701BGK-33-30-181025 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge inspection and maintenance works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Walson Way, Forest Hall Road, B1383, B1051, Church Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 25th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Chelmsford Road, White Roding)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chelmsford Road, White Roding in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 225m south east of its junction with Colville Hall for a distance of approximately 70m in a south easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd October 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06162757JB – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via A1060, A1016, A414, A1184 and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 11th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
