U8276 CASTLE CLOSE PRUDHOE
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on those sections of the in the County of Northumberland.
Footway closures
• U8276 Castle Close 15 metres southwards from its junction with C255 Station Road heading southward and then west ward direction for a distance of 58 metres.
• U8276 Castle Close from a point 15 metres west of number 40 Castle Close heading in a eastward and then north direction for a distance of 28.5 metres.
This Order is to be effective from the 6th October 2025 until the 7th November 2025.
It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 6th October 2025 until the 24th October 2025 the footways will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th November 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C255, U8276 and vice versa and should the need arise for changes to be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks for gas mains replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
C256 OATENS BANK HORSLEY
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C256 Oatens Bank Horsley from its junction with the B6318 Military Road for a distance of 2409 metres in a south-westerly then south-easterly direction in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 6th October 2025 until the 6th April 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 6th October 2025 until the 20th October 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 6th April 2026.
The road will be carried out in two phases and as described below:
• Resurfacing works : 6th October 2025 to 10th October 2025.
• Drainage works : 13th October 2025 to 20th October 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C256, B6528, C257, B6318 and vice versa and should the need arise for changes to be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

B6309 MULTIPLE ROADS EBCHESTER
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic in the following sections of the County of Northumberland:
• B6309 Ebchester To Newlands from its junction with B6309 (from A694 Junction To County Boundary At River Derwent) to its junction with B6309 (from A694 Junction To County Boundary At River Derwent), a distance of 1.47 meters.
• B6309 (from A694 Junction To County Boundary At River Derwent) Ebchester to A694 from its most eastern road junction with Ebchester and its most eastern extends northwards through to the end of the Ebchester bridge to the County Boundary, Ebchester.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd September 2025 until the 2nd June 2026.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 22nd September 2025 until the 11th January 2026, the roads will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 2nd June 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6309, C273, A694, B6278, A694 and vice-versa and should the need arise for changes to be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
A68 RIDSDALE TO WEST WOODBURN WEST WOODBURN
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A68 Ridsdale To West Woodburn West Woodburn from its junction with U5028 Ridsdale To Hindhaugh Wood to a point 40 metres north west of its junction with the C195 Otterburn to Elsdon road, a distance of 629 meters in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd September 2025 until the 2nd February 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 22nd September 2025 between the hours of 07:30 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd February 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via A68, A696, B6342 and vice-versa and should the need arise for changes to be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C302 HALTWHISTLE 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION
ORDER 2025 (TROM 328)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made the above-named Order under Sections 81 to 84 and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 22nd September 2025 will be to introduce a 30 miles per hour speed restriction on the following lengths of highways in Haltwhistle in the County of Northumberland:

(WAITING, LOADING & PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 VARIATION ORDER 26 (TRO_101_26)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, The Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, has made the above named Order.
The effect of the Order, which will come into force on 22nd September 2025 is to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by replacing sections of “no waiting at any time” parking restrictions and adding a prohibition of stopping on school entrance markings which will apply at all times on West Road in Prudhoe. The remaining restrictions of “no waiting at any time” restrictions on West Road will be revoked as part of this Order.
The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the map-based schedule to the Order. A copy of the Order, together with the maps that form part of the Schedule to the Order and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order are available to view or download on the NCC website:
