Watermouth Road - Temporary 10MPH Speed Limit
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14 THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) (A399 [WATERMOUTH RD], ILFRACOMBE) (NO. 2) ORDER 2025 TEMPORARY 10MPH SPEED LIMIT
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 29/9/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 10/10/25. Between the hours of 08:00 & 16:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 10 miles per hour on the sections of the Affected Roads when temporary traffic signing is in place.
Roads affected - A399 [WATERMOUTH RD], ILFRACOMBE] From a point 170 metres West from entrance to Watermouth Castle to a point 370 metres West of that entrance. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 40 miles per hour on the sections of the Affected Roads when temporary traffic signing is in place.
Roads affected - A399 [WATERMOUTH RD], ILFRACOMBE From entrance to Watermouth Castle to a point 170 metres West of the entrance. From a point 370 metres West from entrance to Watermouth Castle to a point 540 metres West of that entrance.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING.
