Ilkley, Temporary Footpath Closure Due To Public Safety Concerns
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL FOOTPATH NO. 9 ILKLEY, ILKLEY TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is satisfied pedestrians on or near Footpath No. 9 llkley, llkley should be restricted or prohibited because of the likelihood of danger to the public intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Footpath No. 9 llkley from its junction with Carters Lane to its junction with Denton Road.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to pedestrians connected with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
No alternative routes for pedestrian traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on the 29th September 2025 and remain in force until 19:00 hours on the 24th April 2026 (although the closure can remain in force for up to six months if necessary).
