What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BUTT LANE, EAST BRIDGFORD) (PROPOSED 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT EXTENSION) ORDER 2025 (8411) 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at East Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe in the County of Nottinghamshire. 

1. No person shall drive any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule of this Order. 

SCHEDULE 

BUTT LANE, EAST BRIDGFORD -From a point 162 metres south-east of its junction with Cross Lane, in a south-easterly direction for 111 metres. Relevant documents may be inspected during opening hours at: 

(a) The Nottinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 7QP 

(b) Bingham Library, Eaton Place, Bingham, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG13 8BE Or can be viewed online by visiting the County Council's website consult.nottinghamshire.gov.uk ) 

Any objections should clearly state the reasons for the objections and should reach us in writing, either by letter or email, by the 17th October 2025. If the objection cannot be resolved, it will be reported through the County Council's procedures at the appropriate time. 

In order to fulfil a S278 agreement and make the speed limit more appropriate following the construction of a new development on Butt Lane, East Bridgford, it is proposed to extend the existing 30 mph Speed Limit along this road.
